I had a friend growing up named Melanie. She and her family lived on the next street over and we played softball together every summer when we were young. She is one of the sweetest people I know and she comes by it honestly. Her whole family is generous, kind and just down right good people. A few years ago her little sister, Natalie, was diagnosed with a rare cancer in her spine. After battling the disease these past few years she has been told to enjoy what time she has left on this earth. At twenty-two years old she has been diagnosed terminal. I had the chance to make and donate these pendants for a silent auction that took place at a benefit concert for Natalie this past Friday.
